Bachelor’s / Master’s Thesis & Working Student Position: AI Development in Football Media

mmc sport is an international sports content editorial team. We work as sports journalists, translators, commentators, voice-over artists, content producers and social media experts.

As part of your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis combined with a working student role, you will help build mmc sport’s AI strategy. You will further develop our editorial workflows, evaluate and implement new AI tools, and create sustainable AI processes for our international sports content newsroom. Your work may include developing new AI products and optimizing existing workflows for social media, websites, translations, audio production and fan engagement. You will collaborate directly with management and the editorial team on real, internationally oriented projects.

Your profile

• Studies in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computational Linguistics / Natural Language Processing, Media Informatics or a similar field
• Strong enthusiasm for AI technologies and interest in applying them in a professional sports environment
• High affinity for football

Ideally, you already have practical experience with

• Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering
• Machine translation and natural language processing
• Automated speech and text processing
• Audio analysis (e.g. speech or quality control)
• Computer vision or AI-based image generation
